Walter John J. Gonzalez II (“John”) is the eldest of Wally’s two children.  He is a graduate of the University of Santo Tomas’ College of Architecture and Fine Arts, majoring in Advertising, 1995. During that same year, he has won Third Place during 1995’s World Youth Day celebration at the UST grounds, for a Papal-themed on-the-spot painting contest. Conventional illustration is his artistic strength. But is known to have dabbled with digital art especially Adobe Illustrator.

He currently works as an Art Director for TeamAsia. And has previously worked as an Art Director also for Manprom, Inc., and has handled some creative requirements for Starbucks, Chili’s, and Rustan’s. Prior to that, he has co-pioneered Creative Synergy, Inc., and has worked with events-related projects for them, the likes of: Microsoft Philippines, Oracle, Hewlett Packard and other IT-related firms.

He does freelance book illustration from time to time, and has consistently been featured on Tolkien related websites for contributing work inspired by The Lord of the Rings.

He keeps himself busy on most days by playing Ultimate (frisbee), playing with the southern Manila based ultimate group MAD (Mad About Discs).
